During the month of November, ULI joins the nation in commemorating Native American Heritage Month.
We celebrate the contributions of our Native American and Alaska Native ULI members and staff to the built environment and throughout history. We recognize the historical displacement, removal, and exclusion of Native Americans in the United States from their ancestral lands. We remember that ULI’s Washington, DC headquarters itself resides on land that was and still is the homeland of Indigenous peoples, including the Nacotchtank and Piscataway Conoy peoples.

ULI is committed to pursuing unrelenting efforts to shape the built environment toward diverse, equitable, and inclusive communities. We continue to believe that current and future industry actions can—and must—remedy the impact of exclusionary practices in the commercial real estate industry, thereby creating access and fostering unity.
