INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIPS
New Members
What are the benefits of ULI membership? You can learn about ULI, the benefits of membership, and pricing at uli.org/join-uli, or view a ULI membership flyer for more information.
How do I become a ULI member? Create a ULI account to join online. You may also join by email, phone, or mail.
- Online: Visit uli.org/join and create a ULI account.
- Email: Email questions or request a membership invoice from [email protected].
- Phone: Call ULI Customer Service at 1-800-321-5011 or 1-202-624-7109.
- Mail: Send your completed application (download application here) with payment to Urban Land Institute, PO Box 418168, Boston, MA 02241-8168.

Does ULI offer discounts on membership? In order to include members from across the community, ULI offers 50%–75% savings for individuals under age 35; professionals in nonprofit organizations, government, or academia; and students. If you are a nonprofit, government, or academic professional, your organization may be eligible for a Public Agency membership, which includes three memberships at a discounted rate. Is there a discounted rate for retired individuals? Individuals who are age 65 or older and have been a ULI member for more than 10 years are eligible for a discount when they retire.
How much does ULI membership cost? Dues vary by membership type and are applied to a 12-month membership. You may view more details at uli.org/join-uli or download a membership application for your region.
What are my payment options? Memberships can be paid annually or monthly. Memberships can also be set for automatic renewal.
- One-time payment: Individuals can pay their total annual dues at the time they join.
- Annual auto-renewal: Individuals can select auto-renew to have their membership automatically renewed each year. Reminder messages are sent at the beginning of the renewal month.
- Monthly installment plan: Individuals can choose to pay in 12 equal installments. Enrolling in the monthly installment plan requires an annual commitment

When I join, can anyone in the company use my membership benefits? Associate and Full individual memberships are not transferrable. If your organization is interested in group membership, visit the Corporate Partnerships page.
Current Members
When does my membership expire? Your membership expires on the last day of the month. View your account details at my.uli.org, or contact [email protected] to request your account details.
When can I make my renewal payment? You may renew your membership at any time before your expiration date. As you approach expiration, ULI will communicate with you through a variety of channels, including e-mail, direct mail, social media, and telephone.
How can I renew my membership? You can renew your membership at any time before your expiration date. You may renew your membership online or by email, phone, or mail.

- Email: Request your renewal invoice at [email protected].

How do I change my email subscription preferences for ULI? Visit my.uli.org and select Preferences to indicate the types of emails you wish to receive.
How can I terminate my membership? Memberships are non-refundable and based on a 12-month plan. Memberships will be automatically terminated 30 days after the expiration date if not paid. You can choose to have your record marked Do not renew; to do that, phone Customer Service at 1-800-321-5011 or 1-202-624-7109.
How can I cancel my monthly installments? Monthly installments are based on a 12-month plan. If you need to cancel after 12 months, you may contact Customer Service.
PUBLIC AGENCY MEMBERSHIP
What is included in the Public Agency membership, and who is eligible? Government agencies, accredited universities, and nonprofit organizations are eligible for Public Agency membership. Public Agency membership comprises three individual memberships at a discounted rate, including one Full membership and two Associate memberships. These memberships may be transferred at any time to other individuals within the organization.
Can we include more than three members in the Public Agency package? Yes. There is no limit to the number of members who can be added to the Public Agency membership. Associate or Full members can be added to the package for an additional fee.
Can our organization’s Public Agency invoice be split by department? The Public Agency membership discount is based on one consolidated invoice. New or renewal invoices cannot be divided into multiple invoices.
Where do I find a roster of my organization’s current Public Agency members? The primary contact can request a roster of your members by sending an email to [email protected].
Who from my organization can make changes to our member roster? Each Public Agency package includes the names of a primary contact who will receive annual membership renewal invoices and can make member roster changes or add-on requests. If a primary contact is not identified, the Full member serves as the organization’s primary contact.
