District councils are the local chapters of ULI and the primary way that members engage with the organization. District councils are typically centered on a state or metro area, and local staff and member leadership organize programming and events relevant to the local real estate market.

At the heart of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) are its Americas District Councils. District Councils are an extremely valuable resource to our members and the ULI mission. With 53 District Councils across the Americas, they actively contribute to the culture and collaboration within the ULI community. ULI’s District Councils continuously work to provide keen leadership and networking opportunities, improve DEI initiatives, conduct educational forums, and build important relationships with our 45,000 plus members in the land use industry. 

By convening special programs, such as those coordinated with the release of publications like Emerging Trends in Real Estate, ULI District Councils can better focus their efforts in conducting community outreach programs and providing industry expertise to community leaders, which will lead to shaping the future of the built environment for transformative impact in communities worldwide.
