The ULI Terwilliger Center for Housing is pleased to announce that submissions are currently be accepted for the 2014 ULI Housing Awards. Since 2008, the Terwilliger Center has sought to showcase the efforts of leaders across the country working to expand workforce housing opportunities through our housing awards program.
New this year, the ULI Housing Awards will recognize a broader array of affordable and workforce housing initiatives. Specifically, awards will honor developments and state/local jurisdictions that support sustainable housing efforts, serve a mix of incomes, and ensure housing affordability—particularly for those earning less than 120 percent area median income (AMI). Previously, only developments and programs serving those earning 60-120 percent AMI were eligible.
Awards will be continue to be given in the following categories:
- The Jack Kemp Excellence in Affordable and Workforce Housing Awards recognize exemplary developments that meet affordable and workforce housing needs.
- The Robert C. Larson Housing Policy Leadership Awards recognize innovative state and local policy initiatives that provide ongoing and sustainable support for affordable and workforce housing.
The submission deadline for the 2014 awards cycle has been extended to Monday, March 17, 2014.
