The inaugural Lewis Center Sustainability Forum builds off the Building Healthy Places Forums series and will kick off at ULI’s 2024 Spring Meeting in New York City.
The forum, generously supported by ULI Foundation Governor Randall Lewis, will bring together leaders in health, wellness, and real estate to discuss what they are doing, planning, and observing in the field. The forum was a content-heavy, interactive discussion and exchange.
The forum will be organized in collaboration with ULI member leaders and focused on sharing information about NYC-based projects advancing sustainability in the built environment and applying lessons from these projects to the work of forum participants.
When: Monday, April 8th from 11:00am – 5:00pm ET
Where: Pier 57 (Address: 25 11th Ave, New York, NY 10011)
Registration: Through Spring Meeting registration. The Forum is open to Full Members. Associate Members interested in attending can reach out to [email protected].
At a glance, the forum will explore (subject to change) —
- Engaging discussions that spotlight the restoration of Pier 57 into a mixed-used development, complete with a public park, office spaces, community and educational facilities, retail anchors, and more;
- A guided tour offering an inside look at the revamped Pier 57, including Market 57, a new dining destination committed to celebrating New York City’s local food culture;
- And speakers and local leaders focused on the intersection of electrification and an equitable transition to net zero.
Forum Goals
- Provide a place for ULI members who are passionate about sustainability, resilience, health, social equity, and development to meet and engage.
- Offer an opportunity for ULI members to share knowledge and insights.
- Update forum participants on the latest work at ULI and other organizations regarding the intersection of sustainability, resilience, health, social equity, and real estate.
