One of the biggest challenges facing communities today is how to house an aging population. At Housing Opportunity 2014: Healthy Housing, Healthy Places in Denver this May 14-16, we’ll explore this issue at three sessions:
Service-Enriched Housing for Children, Veterans, and Older Adults (May 15 at 11:00 a.m.) will examine how integrating a social support system for residents into the operation and management of housing can generate positive health outcomes for older adults among other groups.
- Enabling Design for Health, Housing, and Happiness (Friday at 9:15 a.m.) will showcase how to support designs that enable for health and wellbeing at every community scale.
- Intergenerational Living: Housing and Communities for All Ages (Friday at 10:45 a.m.) will shed light on the growing trend towards intergenerational communities and multigenerational housing.
Each of these sessions will feature an outstanding line-up of speakers, including: Maya Brennan, National Housing Conference; Jeremy Sharpe, Rancho Sahuarita; and Janice Blanchard, Aging Better Together.
