GLP Misato III, completed in May 2013, is a state of the art logistics facility in Greater Tokyo located within the Saitama Prefecture, Japan. The five story facility with a total floor area of 94,718 square meters, is equipped with dual ramps allowing service vehicles to drive up to each floor demonstrating the effectiveness of land use in a country where land is limited. Business continuity and environmental awareness is a key feature for GLP Misato III. The property is equipped with seismic isolators that absorb 75 percent of all shock caused by earthquakes. Property’s amenities include backup generators, emergency sewage systems, showers and cafeteria ensuring customer’s business continuity in case of natural disasters, while also creating a comfortable working environment.
The facility was the first logistics facility in Japan to be awarded LEED Platinum and is equipped with LED lighting, solar panels, green parking spaces, and other factors that reduce energy consumption.
