ULI launched its new Building Healthy Places Initiative, which will work over the next two years to leverage the power of ULI’s global networks to shape projects and places in ways that help improve the health of people and communities.

Topics related to Building Healthy Places will figure prominently at ULI’s 2013 Fall Meeting, being held Nov. 5 to 8 in Chicago.

Sessions on Nov. 7 will feature a special market trends track focusing on connections between health and real estate. Other sessions and programs throughout the conference will also relate to health. *A newly announced Building Healthy Places Pop Up Cafe on Thursday morning will allow participants to network and hear from Anne Warhover, President and CEO of the Colorado Health Foundation.

Building Healthy Places: New Opportunities for Doing Well and Good

ULI is releasing two publications as part of our Building Healthy Places initiative—Intersections and 10 Principles of Healthy Communities—setting the foundation for the Institute’s program of work for the next several years. In this highly interactive closing session, ULI’s Trustees, Foundation Governors, Building Healthy Places Advisory Board members and industry leaders will look to the future  and lead a discussion on the new real estate opportunities created by a focus on health and wellness.
