The ULI/EY Real Estate Consensus Forecast — October 2013 is a survey of 38 of the nation’s leading real estate economists and analysts representing major real estate investment, advisory, and research firms and organizations. The survey, conducted between August 27 and September 23, 2013, is the fourth in a series of polls initiated to gauge sentiment among economists and analysts about the direction of the real estate industry. The semi-annual survey provides forecasts for 27 economic and real estate indicators, including GDP, employment, inflation, interest rates, property transaction volumes, CMBS issuance, capitalization rates, REIT returns, property investment returns for four property types, vacancy/occupancy rates and rents for five property types, and housing starts and prices.
