Director of Research at HDR, Dr. Jeri Brittin trained as a public health research scientist in the realm of social and behavioral health promotion and has a design and business background in senior-level strategic roles. Jeri leads HDR’s team of social and behavioral scientists who address complex human problems through credible inquiry to inform optimal planning and design decisions. Working with clients across multiple industry and government sectors, Jeri’s work encompasses strategic planning and organizational improvement, consumer studies and needs assessments, and predictive models and empirical evaluations of designed program and intervention effects. Her research portfolio has focused in particular on health and behavioral outcomes in community settings, learning environments, healthcare, and workplaces, as well as influences of transportation systems on health at a regional scale. Dr. Brittin serves on several national committees focused on design and health. She is an active speaker and has published work in numerous journals.
