WLI Awards & Grants
WLI Prologis Leaders Program
Since 2014, the ULI Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) and Prologis have granted achievement scholarships to a select group of women members to participate in the ULI Spring Meeting. The program is offered in recognition of a member’s contributions to ULI and demonstrated commitment to real estate and land use issues. Further selection criteria include a member’s ability to articulate the benefits of WLI involvement and Spring meeting attendance to advance their professional interests and pursuits, as well as their future involvement with ULI. Admittance into the program will be granted to applicants who have 7+ years in the real estate or land use industry and have shown leadership roles within their District Council or on a national or global level.
Program benefits will include complimentary registration and an expense stipend for transportation and lodging. Winners will be paired with a WLI mentor to assist them in navigating the ULI Spring Meeting experience, and each winner will be guests at her mentor’s respective Product Council dinner and meeting.
Applications are due on or before February 16, 2024. Applicants should email one consolidated PDF file (including resume and signed letter of support from employer) labeled “Last Name, First Name – WLI Prologis Leaders Program” to Ariel DiDonato at [email protected].

WLI Innovation Grants fund programs that help increase women leaders and their visibility
Over the past 7 years, WLI has awarded 43 grants providing $170,000 in seed money for innovative WLI District Council programs. The grants are designed to help raise the visibility and number of women in leadership roles in the real estate industry and within ULI’s membership.
Examples of recent grants include:
- ULI Colorado’s “Breaking the Glass Ceiling” program that paired mid to senior level women with industry executives for mentorship in leadership and career advancement. The six-month program helped build relationships and offered training to help women create a pathway to executive level positions.
- ULI Houston’s “Amplify Women” program that provided 6 weeks of professional development training and coaching for women to help them build on their strengths as a leader, amplify their voices, boost confidence, and take next steps at work.
- ULI Nevada’s “Queens of Las Vegas” program spotlighted prominent women in the development history of Nevada, highlighting the influence and accomplishments of women of color.
WLI Americas Executive Committee is evaluating all previous grants to identify the most successful programs that can be replicated by other District Councils. In 2024, grants will focus on providing funding and the model for these programs to additional District Councils so a greater number of WLI members can benefit.
