The Lewis Center Sustainability Forum builds off the Building Healthy Places Forum series and will be hosted in conjunction with ULI’s 2024 Fall Meeting in Las Vegas.

The forum, generously supported by ULI Foundation Governor Randall Lewis, will bring together leaders in decarbonization, health and equity, resilience, and real estate to discuss what they are doing, planning, and observing in the field. The forum was a content-heavy, interactive discussion and exchange.

The forum is organized in collaboration with ULI member leaders and focused on sharing information about water-wise strategies for the built environment, highlighting best practices from Las Vegas and the western United States and applying lessons from these projects to the work of forum participants.

At a glance, the forum will explore (subject to change) —

• Engaging discussions that spotlight water-wise strategies for the built environment that allow for continued development and land uses in areas experiencing water scarcity;
• Guided tours offering an inside look of the water-wise strategies of the Bellagio and the Venetian; and
• Speakers and local leaders focused on the intersection of sustainable water use and land use.

Forum Goals

• Provide a place for ULI members who are passionate about sustainability and development to meet and engage.
• Offer an opportunity for ULI members to share knowledge and insights.
• Update forum participants on the latest work at ULI and other organizations regarding the intersection of decarbonization, health and equity, resilience, and real estate.
• Dig deep into local efforts to advance sustainability, resilience, and health and equity.
