The 2011 ULI report What’s Next? Real Estate in the New Economy was followed by dialogues among ULI members that exceeded all expectations. More than 20 ULI District Councils had programs and events that highlighted What’s Next. Local participants discussed regional implications and consequences. Several thousand ULI members and guests engaged in conversations and presentations, ranging from all-day state-wide meetings in Florida and South Carolina to lunch meetings and a series of panels.

Inspired by this outpouring of interest, ULI asked the District Councils to participate in a survey and indicate their local and regional consensus about issues discussed in What’s Next. The District Councils’ responses to the survey are contained in What’s Next at the Local Level.
