Leading world urbanist Richard Florida has been writing about and championing cities for decades, most famously in his award-winning book, “The Rise of the Creative Class.” In his new book, “The New Urban Crisis,” he faces the downside of the creative class and its role in contributing to the loss of middle-class neighborhoods. Florida identifies what is happening and offers some policy solutions that could stem the growing inequality in our cities.
