Eligible projects must be located in North America. For international projects of a similar scope the ULI Global Awards for Excellence have also opened their submission period, and they could offer a good alternative for prospective submitters. Additional details here. While this award does not emphasize so prominently the open space criteria, it is one of the elements around which a strong submission can be constructed. A good example among the winners last year is Darling Quarter and Commonwealth Bank Place.
