The Urban Implications of Living with Water
February 11, 2015
In September 2014, ULI’s Boston District Council conducted a charrette to look at specific resilience solutions for four neighborhoods in the Greater Boston region. The result was The Urban Implications of Living with Water, launched in October 2014, in which experts explored the impacts of sea level rise and developed solutions for how to mitigate the risk for some of the city’s most vulnerable areas. The report showcases how District and National Council programs, initiatives, and projects are impacting their communities in tangible, lasting ways, often for years after the program is concluded. The report highlights how ULI’s unbiased dialogues and assistance panels, partnerships between public and private entities, and leadership programs has a positive impact on the places we live, learn, and play.
