MONDAY, MAY 15, 2023
5:00 pm – 7:00 pm EDT – Student/ Young Leaders Drop-In Kickoff
LOCATION: Mill Street Brewery 21 Tank House Ln, ON M5A 3C4, in The Distillery Historic District.
Students and Young Leader attendees arriving to the 2023 Spring Meeting on Monday, May 15 have the opportunity to meet at District Distillery from 5:00-7:00 p.m. for a “Buy Your Own (BYO)” gathering event. Those who attend can meet with fellow colleagues before the official conference begins to start building meaningful relationships. You may even find yourself on a scavenger hunt!

LOCATION: Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Room 206BDF
Learn about ULI’s most anticipated report, Emerging Trends, and how it can be a resource to you on your journey to a career in real estate.
8:00 pm – 10:00 pm EDT Spring Meeting Reception Hosted by the Young Leaders Group
LOCATION: QRC (Queen Richmond Centre West), 134 Peter Street, Toronto Ontario, M5V 2H2
The ULI Spring Meeting Reception, hosted by the Young Leaders Group, will bring together over 400 Meeting attendees and local members for networking and authentic connection. This separately ticketed event (additional fees do apply) is open to all Spring Meeting attendees and local Toronto members. Please join us at the Queen-Richmond Centre West – a landmark development in Toronto’s Downtown West and a model of urban intensification, featuring the modernization of a historic building. Registration includes two drink tickets for the bar and hors d’oeuvres. Extra drink tickets can be purchased on-site.

8:00 am – 12:00 pm EDT – YLG/Student Tour- Liberty Village
LOCATION: Buses depart from Metro Toronto Convention Centre
Registered Young Leader and Student members attending the 2023 Spring Meeting have the exclusive opportunity to explore Liberty Village at a discounted tour rate.
Heady with Gen Z and millennial energy, Liberty Village (just west of downtown Toronto) has a youthful, campus-meets-condo vibe. Bars, pubs, restaurants and cafes buzz with energy. The 45-acre brownfield master-planned neighborhood also functions as one of the city’s creative corridors with production facilities, agencies, and tech firms operating out of lofts and studio spaces in converted former warehouses.
Join fellow Under 35 professionals as they hear from the team responsible for continuing this neighborhood’s 200-year-old history, including First Capital REIT, BentallGreenOak, and Hullmark, and learn why it is one of the fastest-growing neighborhoods for emerging professionals. 2:30 – 3:30 pm YLG Connect
Come meet Americas YLG leaders to hear about the Americas Region initiatives being undertaken to better serve the District Council Young Leader Groups. Then join us for a fireside chat with rising local ULI leaders to hear about how their work is making a difference in the local community. Finally, connect with fellow Young Leaders during facilitated roundtable discussions.
4:00 pm YLG Impact
Following the YLG Connect session, focusing on Young Leaders in the Toronto area, the YLG Impact session will be a fireside chat between ULI Americas YLG co-chairs, Katie Maslechko and Chandler Hogue, with two members of the Americas Executive Committee (AEC) Networks members, Ash Lawrence and Sara Neff. They will use the one-hour session to explore AEC goals, the importance of Young Leaders in our network, and how YLG can support the mission of the AEC and ULI as a whole.
