ULI is excited to be embarking upon an effort to assess the integration of health and social equity within real estate practice. The assessment will examine the current state of professional practice and determine steps needed to achieve market transformation within the industry, such that health and social equity are core values in real estate practice.
ULI will work with a consultant and other partners to examine industry knowledge and the penetration of health and social equity into real estate practice, action, and operations. This research will also identify barriers that hinder progress as well as possible strategies and incentives to break down those barriers.
It is hoped that this work will help align industry actors to push the movement towards health and equity forward, and lead to partner and industry action steps to further integrate health and social equity into real estate industry practice. The assessment will provide an opportunity for ULI to reflect on its own work on health to date, using findings to refine ULI’s strategy, messaging, evaluation approach, and goals.
The project will be managed by the ULI Building Healthy Places Initiative, part of the ULI Center for Sustainability and Economic Performance. For more information, please email us at [email protected].
