Bronx Point is a new 22-story mixed-use development located on the Harlem River waterfront in the South Bronx that provides 542 units of permanently affordable housing, including 82 units for formerly homeless residents. Bronx Point is also home to a new cultural space in the Hip Hop Museum, highlighting the music and culture that has impacted millions of people around the world. In addition, the long-vacant site now includes space for community institutions and service providers, retail space, and a new public waterfront park.
The development of Bronx Point includes the expansion of neighboring Mill Pond Park, which now meets and engages with the landscaping of Bronx Point. A new public waterfront walkway has been created, giving South Bronx residents new access to the waterfront, encouraging the community to spend time outdoors and promoting healthy living. The project is an example of a public-private partnership.
Location: Bronx, New York
