POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Associate will join a growing team of professionals who work collaboratively to execute the Advisory Services program and the Key Leaders program at the Urban Land Institute.
As part of the Advisory Services team, the person hired for this position will provide two main functions: be the administrative coordinator for the program and lead the program in the implementation of communicating its impact story.
As part of the Key Leaders Network, this position will communicate with ULI’s top leaders and help ensure their engagement in mission-driven programs through the Key Leaders Network.
This is a full-time position located in Washington, D.C., reporting to the Executive Vice President, Global Leadership.
This position is currently remote but is based in Washington, D.C., once it is safe to return to the office in person.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Advisory Services
- Support administrative panel functions of the Advisory Services team, which include but may not be limited to coordinating with project managers to assemble and share briefing materials with panelists; act as the primary contact for pre- and post-panel interactions with panelists.
- Assist in updating the online presence for the Advisory Services program.
- Staff Advisory Services assignments on site, work with project managers, other ULI staff, and the panel chair to carry out the assignment and assist, as needed, in writing the report.
- Assist in the recruitment of member teams to participate in panels by developing, nurturing, and maintaining relationships with ULI members.
- In coordination with ULI’s Communications team, lead the coordination and delivery of panel press releases, Urban Land magazine articles, and social media campaigns.
- Create infographics, other visually rich media in collaboration with the Institute’s branding department.
- Write unique programmatic materials such as ASP Annual Report articles and ASP impact summaries.
- Produce the quarterly Advisory Services newsletter.
- Manage and update the ASP website.
- Write and post relevant program updates and impact stories.
- Post and format panel summaries, presentations, and video recordings.
- Edit panel video recordings.
- Generate new, creative methods and ways to promote Advisory Services and share our story.
- Provide support during select on-site panel assignments in coordination with ULI staff.
Key Leaders
- Produce the Key Leaders newsletter and maintain the newsletter archive.
- Manage and update the Key Leaders website.
- Assist with the planning of Key Leaders events and outreach.
- Support Key Leaders during the Fall and Spring Meetings.
- Assist with planning for the Midwinter Meeting.
- Assist with information gathering and Global Leadership data collection.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three-plus years’ experience in storytelling, marketing, communications, project management, or related field.
- Strong time-management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a desire to be an integral part of a fast-paced, collegial, and fun team.
- Experience with WordPress or website editing preferred.
- Experience with Real Magnet or email communications software/tools preferred.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro and Adobe Acrobat, or media editing software preferred.
- Cloud-based collaborative software such as Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) required.
- Zoom or video meeting software required.
- Teamwork or project management software required.
- Google Analytics or website analytics software preferred.
- Slack or messaging software required.
- Cloud-based storage such as Microsoft SharePoint, OneDrive required.
- Third Light or image storage software preferred.
- Experience with CRMs such as netFORUM, Paramount Workplace, Concur, Cobblestone, Dynamics 365, Azure required.
- Retrieving information from pre-built, interactive data reporting dashboards such as PowerBI preferred.
- QuestionPro or survey software preferred.
- DocuSign or document signature software preferred.
- Zendesk or ticketing system software preferred.
- This position requires a valid U.S. driver’s license.
- This position requires domestic travel, about four to five times a year.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.
