Title: Assistant Project Manager
Organization: Consigli Construction
Location: Brooklyn, New York
Saranya Kanagaraj is an Assistant Project Manager at Consigli Construction and a licensed architect in New York. She is currently managing the construction of the Stanley Manne Institute at The Bronx High School of Science. When completed, this facility will provide professional-grade lab space and equipment for students to conduct independent scientific research. Prior to joining Consigli, Saranya worked at internationally recognized architecture firms on master plans, transportation, residential, adaptive reuse, and commercial projects. This experience taught her how the design of our built environment can help or hinder our ability to promote health and social equity in our communities.
As an architect and construction manager, Saranya has a holistic understanding of project delivery and can communicate both the conceptual and technical aspects of a project. She hopes to use her unique perspective to improve the way we design and build, especially in constrained and complex environments like New York City.
