Samantha Spergel is the Director of Real Estate Strategic Initiatives and Engagement at the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority, (IHCDA), the State Housing Finance Agency. Samantha provides policy oversight on numerous HUD capital programs which fund and support affordable housing production and preservation across the State of Indiana, manages technical assistance and capacity building efforts for local units of government and non-profits, and oversees the Agency’s workforce housing. Samantha is also the Director over the Healthy Homes Resource Program, which provides critical repairs to housing units to address lead paint hazards, provide radon mitigation, and eradicate mold and moisture instruction which may trigger asthma. Samantha has over 10 years’ experience in managing a variety of different housing programs to support the rehabilitation and construction of affordable housing; previously, Samantha was the Director Real Estate Production at IHCDA, and a Grants Manager at the City of Indianapolis. Samantha is a previous co-chair of the ULI-Indiana Women’s Leadership Initiative, Co-Chair and Programming Chair of the ULI Indiana Equitable Development Summit, and currently sits on the Indiana University Advisory Committee and the Board of the Women in Affordable Housing – Indiana.
Samantha holds a Bachelor of the Arts in Political Science from The College of Wooster, and a Master of Public Affairs from Indiana University.
