Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Richard Taylor is the founder and managing partner of ARRC Capital Partners, LLC, a real estate development firm focused solely on multifamily development in the city of Atlanta. Richard works on Atlanta’s west side to develop affordable housing and housing for those currently experiencing and exiting homelessness. He specializes in partnering with local organizations to promote community development: Trees Atlanta, HomeFirst, Open Doors, and the Atlanta Police Foundation, among others and is a member of the senior leadership team at Contractors, Closers & Connections.
Richard developed his passion for people and community first by caring for his mom as she suffered through ovarian cancer and second while backpacking around the world. He cared for his mom for over six years before she passed from ovarian cancer which drove him to join the Board of Directors of the Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance (‘GOCA’). At GOCA he focuses on securing corporate sponsorships—the majority of funds going to support newly diagnosed cancer patients. On his backpacking journey, he lived in 37 countries on four continents—staying with people everywhere from the wealthiest countries in the world to the poorest.
Outside of real estate development, Richard is active in the community through the Center for Leadership at the Urban Land Institute, the Emerging Leaders Initiative at the Council for Quality Growth, and the Young Professional Leaders at United Way. He earned a Master’s in Finance from Vanderbilt University and Bachelor’s in Finance and Accounting from Clemson University.
