Report from the Colorado Health Symposium: “Make the Healthy Choice the Easy Choice”
August 7, 2014
Rachel MacCleery, Senior Vice President for Content at ULI, participated in the Colorado Health Foundation’s 2014 Colorado Health Symposium in mid-June. During the panel, MacCleery spoke about the work of ULI’s Building Healthy Places Initiative and the three ULI Advisory Services Panels held in Colorado in 2013, sponsored by the Colorado Health Foundation.
Wrote MacCleery, “Two weeks ago, I had the opportunity to participate in the Colorado Health Foundation’s 2014 Colorado Health Symposium, which had the title Health Transformed: The Power of Engagement. The lively event—the thirty-third in an annual program series—drew 500 public health professionals, physicians, policy makers, and others from around the state and the country to Keystone, Colorado, to explore the latest developments in federal health care reform, health care delivery, and more. Over two and a half days, symposium speakers and attendees shared insights about health challenges and opportunities and about what it will take to realize the foundation’s vision of making Colorado the healthiest state in the nation.”
