12/05/2018 San Juan, PR–Urban Land Institute’s Advisory Services Panel gathered to work on recommendations for the municipality of Toa Baja. Panelist Don Edwards reacts to ideas proposed by the resilience-focused team. To his left, Jessica Boehland from The Kresge Foundation.
Expertise and unbiased recommendations are provided through the Advisory Services panel process. Staff assemble a group of experts (a panel) uniquely qualified to address the challenges at hand.
Panelists receive extensive briefing materials, conduct interviews with local stakeholders, and during in-person panels receive a site tour of the study area. The panel then presents their recommendations to the panel sponsor. Sponsors receive a published report of the recommendations and a recording of the presentation depending upon the panel type.
