Oby Nwabuzor has mastered the art of being a community connector and has held roles within the nonprofit and public sectors, currently including the American Heart Association. She is also the Founder of Envision Growth, a Milwaukee-based real estate development group to build healthy people and regenerate communities.
She has developed health strategies to improve social influencers of health in communities and has led community collaborations through programs, partnerships, and policies. Her involvement with governmental agencies and strategic alliances has resulted in a Complete Streets Policy and, to date, a $600k Fresh Food Access Fund. She serves on boards for the City of Milwaukee Neighborhood Improvement Development Corp., Wisconsin Department of Health Services state health assessment steering committee, Malaika Early Learning Center, and the Friendship House of Milwaukee.
Oby has been recognized by the WI Law Journal/Daily Reporter as a 2020 Diversity in Business Awards honoree and by the Milwaukee Business Journal as a 2022 40 Under 40. She holds a MBA in Business Strategy from Cardinal Stritch University, Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, certificate in Commercial Real Estate from Cornell SC Johnson College of Business, and a certificate from the Marquette University ACRE Program.
To study the intersection between real estate and health, Oby is pursuing a DrPH in Advanced Public Health Practice & Leadership, from the Medical College of WI.
