The ULI Building Healthy Places Initiative (BHP) works to engage, inform, and inspire ULI members and partners to do more to advance health.
ULI Announces Health Leadership Program Participants
After a competitive application process, the Building Healthy Places Initiative selected participants for the two leadership programs focused on health:
- The ULI Health Leaders Network is empowering land use and health professionals with the skills, knowledge, and networks to improve health outcomes in their professional practice and communities. Twenty-six professionals in real estate development and related fields will participate in the network’s second cohort. To read about the 2018 Health Leaders, click here.
- The ULI/Randall Lewis Health Mentorship Program connects graduate students in real estate or a related field to a ULI full member mentor working at the intersection of health and the built environment. “Developing Urban Resilience” Website Launches
The new website from the ULI Center for Sustainability and Economic Performance’s Urban Resilience Program is a comprehensive, easy-to-use portal for ULI members to learn about real estate development projects showcasing best practices in resilient design. Learn more and nominate your own project for inclusion on the site at developingresilience.uli.org.
Join Two Exciting Forums at ULI’s Fall Meeting
The 2018 ULI Fall Meeting, to be held in Boston October 8–11, will feature two interactive forums on Monday, October 8:
- Randall Lewis/Building Healthy Places Interest Forum | 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
The eighth Building Healthy Places Interest Forum is open to all ULI members attending the 2018 Fall Meeting. It will bring together real estate leaders to network, share best practices, and learn about innovations in Boston. The Coastal Forum, which is open to all Fall Meeting attendees, will bring together leaders in real estate, land use, and climate resilience to share best practices for coastal development. The forum offers a dialogue-based setting to analyze trends, share tools and resources, and tour examples of innovative waterfront projects in Boston. To register, click here.
