POSITION SUMMARY:
The Database Administrator will work with the Membership Technology Team in planning, implementing, and maintaining applications that are within the membership technology portfolio. The position will primarily support NetForum and any application or service that shares data or integrates with NetForum. The position supports and maintains data services, web services, APIs, and reporting services necessary for data sharing across the member management program.
This is a hybrid, full-time, exempt position, located in Washington, DC.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Membership Database Administrator for NetForum association management platform (AMS).
- Provides technical support for Power BI and NetForum query requests for both staff and Reporting Team.
- Technical integration lead for ULI’s SpotMe Events App and its integrations including the attendee, session, sponsorship, and speaker data residing in NetForum.
- Establish project schedule and coordinate loading of data form stakeholders across ULI into the SpotMe Events App in support of ULI’s major global events.
- Provides technical assistance, troubleshoots database related financial inquiries and serves as liaison to the Global Customer Service and Finance teams.
- Manages mass billing for ULI’s Global, Regional, and Local Product Councils in coordination with the regional and local teams that convene those groups.
- Will be technical lead for existing integration with NetForum and is point of contact for internal stakeholders. Membership Technology portfolio currently includes Power BI, Real Magnet, Higher Logic, Attendee Interactive, OpenWater and WordPress.
- Technical lead supporting the development and build-out of new API integrations with NetForum while ensuring appropriate data protection and data quality control measures are in place.
- Manages the NetForum Zendesk support desk. Solves staff software problems and provides training to staff.
- Retrieves and processes data from SQL Server, MS Access, and MS Excel.
- Development, update, and delivery of training materials that support the Membership Technology portfolio.
- This position interacts with every department in ULI along with all of the Institute’s offices worldwide.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Technology or member management certifications are a plus.
- Must have technical proficiency in NetForum with at least 3 years of experience supporting NetForum or similar association management software/member management software. (Individuals with experience administering other AMS platforms such as Aptify, iMIS, MembersSuite, NimbleAMS, Protech, or Fonteva are encouraged to apply.)
- Prior experience with Power BI, Real Magnet, or Higher Logic is preferred.
- Strong logical and analytical thinker.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze a request, understand business process and objectives, and develop appropriate solutions.
- Ability to communicate technical material to a nontechnical audience.
- Ability to articulate thoughts and ideas and communicate through written works, audio conference, and web conferences.
- Experience working with a membership association is a plus.
