Mehr Pastakia has been an entrepreneur for the last 6 years and she has had a lifelong passion for creating places that promote health and wellness. While pursuing her MBA with a concentration in Real Estate at Johns Hopkins Carey Business school, she founded and grew her company, Pratum Greenroofs, LLC, which maintained greenroof projects at several high-end Class A properties in Washington D.C. including HINES’ building for the new Washington Post HQ and JBGS’ Department of Transportation in DC. As a vendor, Pratum was part of two TOBY Award winning teams. When she isn’t pondering how her new home of Baltimore City can re-invent itself for the 21st century, she teaches herself to cook for her husband and step-daughter and putters around planting and weeding the alleyway next to her rowhouse. She is currently working on shifting her career from sustainability to the broader world of health and wellness.
