Dr. Lena Reiß completed her studies in architecture at the Technical University of Munich. During this time she already deepened her knowledge in CI/CD and graduated with a diploma in design at the department of Industrial Design.
She gained her first experience on the planning side in an architectural office in Munich, in the major project of the satellite at Munich Airport. She then switched to the client side at Fraport AG and strengthened her knowledge in key account and capacity management of various stakeholders, their interests and the new construction project Terminal 3.
She founded the company TRANSolution Consulting & Architecture and in her role as Managing Director, she increasingly took the perspective of the client and investigated their concerns in relation to the built environment -evidence-based and measurable. The start-up emerged from her doctorate and is now part of Drees & Sommer SE.
Lena Reiß is an expert in the field of Health & Wellbeing and advises large international companies, including in real estate consulting and implementation, especially in the ESG area. She is also active as a lecturer at universities. In her dissertation she intensively investigated spatial qualities, design parameters and their influence on the well-being as well as the health of people. For four years, she conducted research in this area on a specific example, namely a transit space that presented particular challenges in local identification and aspects of international design of different cultures. She is concerned with diverse cultures and their health and well-being and conducts evidence-based research on the influences and relevance to them.
Furthermore, she published “The Transit Space at Hub Airport. Analysis and impact of the quality of space and spatial character of the transfer path on the well-being of the transfer passenger” (2018).
