Joe Hamm is a knowledgeable design professional with experience in a variety of design and project leadership roles. He has shepherded high-profile public and private projects in the luxury multifamily, healthcare, scientific, and academic arenas. His roles have seen him at virtually every seat at the table, from architectural design to construction and development. At FitzGerald, he has led the 727 West Madison and xPhoenix project teams; two multifamily and retail projects destined to become iconic destinations in downtown Chicago and downtown Phoenix, respectively. He also led FitzGerald’s entry in the Chicago C-40 developer competition, a netzero, carbon neutral, socially equitable, mixed use, multi-family high rise on a commercial podium with emphasis on affordable housing and a neighborhood health clinic amongst other progressive programing. Under previous employment, he led the design team responsible for the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
Joe’s wide-ranging experience, coupled with keen insights and attention to detail, makes him an equally deft at leading a design process as leading a multidisciplinary project team. His ability to relate to each stakeholder in an undertaking makes him an outstanding asset for mixed-use design teams and our clients as they work to include different use types in their developments.
