Orchards of 82nd is a family-oriented affordable development that prioritizes housing Black/indigenous/people of color families. The building includes a multicultural space run by the Asian Pacific American Network of Oregon. The development is also home to ROSE Community Development’s Baby Booster program, for which housing new and expecting families is a goal. Two-thirds of Baby Booster families are Black or indigenous, the two populations that experience the greatest racial disparities in birth and outcomes.
