Fall Meeting: Advisory Services Honors 2021 Award Winners
Rick Dishnica, Laura London, Faron Hill, and Marilyn Jordan Taylor received awards from the Advisory Services program.
It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you of the passing of Andrew Irvine. Andrew was an energetic, creative, hands-on professional with a passion for design and was known by his clients and coworkers as someone who delivered exceptional quality.
As a senior principal and leader of the urban design discipline within Stantec, and previously RNL and EDAW, Andrew brought more than 30 years’ experience in the industry and a knack for bringing people together to work toward a common goal.
Andrew always believed in design work that promoted happiness and health and that design has a positive cultural and social effect. In support of this mission, he served on a Building Healthy Places Advisory Services panel in Lamar, Colorado, and cowrote ULI’s Ten Principles for Building Healthy Places. His natural ability to bring lightness and humor to every conversation was a true gift. And for someone with so much to offer, he was one of the most humble and unpretentious individuals on the planet.
He loved doing Advisory Service panels, and he will be fondly remembered by all who worked with him.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa, and their children, William and Grace.
For those interested, his family and the School of Architecture and Planning at the University of Colorado, Denver, are creating a lecture series in his honor. If you wish to contribute to this undertaking, please visit the website below:
