Housing Opportunity 2013 has arrived in Seattle! Three hundred housing leaders are currently checking-in at the Seattle Grand Hyatt to kick-off ULI’s premier housing event. Today two mobile tours, organized by ULI Northwest, exposed participants to Seattle’s changing urban core and innovative projects in the surrounding suburbs. Tomorrow, attendees will engage in a series of thought-provoking general and current sessions, session topics include:

• A new vision for federal housing policy;
• Innovative new tools for financing mixed-use developments; and,
• The latest trends in greening affordable housing.

We have a fantastic line-up of speakers including the Director of HUD’s Office of Sustainable Housing and Communities, Shelley Poticha, and award-winning journalist, urban experimentalist, and author of the forthcoming Happy City, Charles Montgomery.
