The conference will close with a powerhouse general session and luncheon on March 22 at noon that will highlight the innovative housing efforts underway in Massachusetts.
In November 2012, Governor Deval Patrick made a ground-breaking announcement that set a new statewide housing production goal of 10,000 multifamily units in the Commonwealth each year from 2012 to 2020. Watch a video of the Governor’s announcement.
The closing general session will discuss how this goal will help the state main its economic competitiveness by meeting the housing needs of its workforce. Moderated by William Kohn Fleissig, Communitas Development, the panel will feature speakers including Secretary Gregory Bialecki, Massachusetts Executive Office of Housing & Economic Development; Lisa Alberghnini, Planning Office for Urban Affairs; Barry Bluestone, The Bluestone Group; and Amy Cotter, Metropolitan Area Planning Council.
