The ULI Terwilliger Center’s Housing Opportunity 2013 conference will feature not only a full program of outstanding educational sessions, but also many opportunities to build your network during the conference. With well over 200 attendees traveling from across the country to participate, Seattle is the place to be March 20−22!
Make the most of your conference experience by planning to participate in the official Housing Opportunity 2013 Welcome Reception on Thursday, March 21, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., conveniently located at the Grand Hyatt Seattle, the headquarters for the event. Sponsored by the Home Depot Foundation, the welcome reception will be a great opportunity to catch up with old colleagues and make some new friends with the 200-plus registered attendees. The reception will immediately follow the afternoon general session featuring Charles Montgomery, who will discuss the relationship among cities, housing, and happiness.
After the reception, you can explore Seattle’s many great neighborhoods by foot or by transit for a night on the town. Learn more about things to see and do while you are in town at Visit Seattle.
On Friday, March 22, from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m., plan to join Terwilliger Center National Advisory Board member and past Kemp Award winner Robert Youngentob with EYA for breakfast. Bob will be facilitating our “Breakfast of (Housing) Champions” featuring several recent recipients of the Jack Kemp Workforce Housing Models of Excellence Awards and the Robert C. Larson Workforce Housing Public Policy Awards. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet informally with award recipients to learn more about their winning efforts and what they are working on now.
Participation in the welcome reception and the roundtable breakfast is included with conference registration. Visit the Housing Opportunity 2013 event page to learn more. Online registration closes March 15 and group registration options are available for teams of five or more.
