Intern, Membership and Marketing


The summer intern will support the Membership Marketing team in developing and executing multi-channel campaigns to drive ULI membership recruitment, retention and engagement. The intern will manage special projects, including helping create campaigns for specific target markets, and coordinating the development of tools and resources for ULI’s regional offices to use in their local marketing efforts. This position requires an individual with strong project management skills, who is comfortable working in both creative and analytical ways, and who enjoys interacting with and supporting internal stakeholders.


  • Support of membership marketing efforts, including recruitment and retention email campaigns using Real Magnet, and coordinating digital advertising assets with the internal creative team
  • Providing multi-channel membership marketing campaign tracking and reporting
  • Spearheading the development of new “District Council” membership marketing toolkits, including the cultivation of best practice examples, and development of email marketing and social media “templates”


  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively and collegially engage and collaborate with multiple colleagues and stakeholders via email, phone and in-person as a project coordinator
  • Excellent written communication skills, including familiarity writing and/or editing marketing copy/messaging
  • Marketing interest, experience and/or relevant coursework
  • Demonstrated prior experience with either an email marketing or design software application desirable
  • Strong project management skills and attention to details
  • Ability to work on both creative and analytic projects
  • Initiative and ability to work independently


  •  Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student, or a recent graduate
