Intern, Digital Marketing

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Digital Marketing intern will play an important role in four major ULI initiatives:

  • Tracking a robust, new digital-content-gating platform elevating ULI’s work in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
  • Redesigning webpages for Americas’ content centers (such as Sustainability and Housing) on an updated publishing platform.
  • Developing new website training tools for District and National Councils and helping prioritize enhancements to the sites for FY21.
  • Supporting the first two months of a website redesign for Urban Land magazine.

The intern’s role will be to support the Vice President of Digital Marketing in these projects. The intern will have the opportunity to work directly with the chief marketing and technology officer, the vice president of global brand, the editorial team of ULI’s flagship publication, and leading experts in the fields of sustainability and resilience, health, affordable and workforce housing, and more in the real estate sector

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze the data from the launch of the new digital-content-gating platform, test hypotheses, and refine the systems based on the results
  • Attend listening sessions with the Americas Content Centers to learn how their webpages could provide a better user experience
  • Build updated webpages on behalf of Americas Content Centers;
  • Providing information architecture, keyword tagging, and SEO support for the Americas Content Centers’ webpages
  • Attend listening sessions with District/National Council staff to learn what training materials they need for FY21
  • Update and prepare the backlog of District/National Council website enhancements for the summer project prioritization exercise
  • Collect research and content for the Internal Preparation and Project Discovery phases of the Urban Land website redesign

At the conclusion of this internship, the intern will be able to demonstrate experience with:

  • The website design process,
  • Data-driven decision-making,
  • Stakeholder management,
  • Project management,
  • WordPress

REQUIREMENTS:

  •   Excellent communications skills, with the ability to communicate both technical and business concepts, as well as strong documentation skills
  • Proficiency with WordPress or similar content publishing systems
  • Experience with or desire to learn digital project management techniques
  • Experience with training of teaching
  • A team building; collegial approach to work
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Relationship building and management skills
  • Passions and values that align with ULI

EDUCATION:

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate program with an interest in digital marketing and digital project management
  • Recent graduates will also be considered
