The District, in partnership with ULI, is continuing its information gathering efforts to increase uptake of the Self-Inspection Self-Reporting (SISR) and Stormwater Retention Credit (SRC) programs!  

District engineers, architects, developers, property or facilities managers, or landscapers are encouraged to join DOEE and ULI staff, and local practitioners serving as members of the initiatives’ Working Group at the upcoming virtual workshop on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM EST. 

This workshop, held in partnership between the Washington, DC Department of Energy and Environment and ULI and ULI Washington will: 

• Raise awareness about some of the specific proposed enhancements to the stormwater retention credit trading program and stormwater infrastructure reporting methods, 

• Identify next steps and brainstorm solutions for information or support gaps tied to program participation, 

• Answer some of frequently asked questions associated with the stormwater compliance program, and 

• Communicate and garner feedback about DOEE’s communications strategy 

More Information About the Initiative: 

In August 2021, ULI and ULI Washington were awarded a grant by the DC Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) with the objective of improving market uptake of alternative strategies for compliance with the District’s green stormwater infrastructure requirements for development. As part of this grant, ULI and ULI Washington were tasked with hosting a variety of outreach activities focused on DOEE's green stormwater programs.  

Outreach activities include: 

• Launch Event (COMPLETE 12/2021) 

• Public survey (COMPELTE 1/2022) 

• Focus Groups (COMPLETE 3/2022) 

• Press releases, op-eds and other educational materials (ONGOING)
