Our Winter title is The Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How Our Government Segregated America. Author Richard Rothstein documents the history of state sponsored segregation stretching back to the late 1800s and exposes racially discriminatory policies put forward by most presidential administrations in that time, including liberal presidents like Franklin Roosevelt. 

Participation is free and requires registration. All registered participants receive a suggested reading schedule, weekly email thought starters, and a link to attend three virtual meetups.

For The Color Of Law we will host two live meetups:

• January 27: Meetup #1: Mid-Book Discussion Groups
• February 17: Meetup #2: Talk with Author Richard Rothstein

Virtual meetups take place on Zoom and run from 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm ET.  Weekly thought prompts aligned with the suggested reading schedule will be sent via email. Members and non-members may register to participate throughout the Winter reading period running through February 17, 2022.
