ULI Hong Kong: The Evolution of Hong Kong’s Role as a Super Connector in Global Capital Markets

During this panel discussion, we will address the prospects of Hong Kong’s capital markets, both from an institutional perspective as well as from a private wealth perspective. Is Hong Kong’s current and expected role in the global financial markets context still to connect, facilitate, regulate, initiate capital flows between China and the rest of the world? Will Hong Kong continue to play a pivotal “super connector” role or are we seeing geopolitical forces permanently eroding Hong Kong’s importance as a major international financial market? What does Hong Kong need to do to keep the pre-eminent role it had and perhaps has taken for granted for such a long time? What are the major obstacles that need to be addressed to keep Hong Kong’s leadership position?

    Speakers:

Rita Y Chan - Co-Senior Country Officer, China | Head of Consumer and Retail Investment Banking APAC, JP Morgan

Edmund Ho – Board Director, APREA, Hong Kong Chapter

    Vivien Khoo - CEO, PWMA

James Wong - Chairman, Hon Kwok Land

    Registration is required.

Registration deadline is on 11 June 2024 (Tuesday)

Event confirmation details will be sent to all registrants on Monday 17 June 2024.
