    The Emerging Trends in Real Estate® Asia Pacific 2021 report will be launched on 24 November 2020. Created in partnership with PwC, the report features a detailed analysis of how COVID-19 is affecting regional markets and sectors, including how the pandemic affects transaction volumes and valuations and how new investment opportunities will emerge heading into 2021. It also explores likely secular shifts within the Asia Pacific real estate industry—for example, how will office and retail sectors evolve in a post-COVID world?
     
    Join us for this regional event: 10 Trends in 100 Minutes. As well as exploring the report’s key findings, the event will feature three response panels featuring thought leaders from across the Asia Pacific region:
     
    THE MACRO
     
    The fluid global and Asian geopolitical landscape brings both risks and opportunities, how do investors avoid one and exploit the other? What are the implications of continuously low-interest rates for the real estate industry? The panel examines how real estate deal structures are evolving, the rise of debt investment, and discuss the headline rankings of Asian cities for their investment and development prospects.
     
    THE MICRO
     
    This panel takes a deep dive into real estate asset classes and debates the performance and prospects for mainstream and niche asset classes. We will look at which sectors will be winners and losers in the new landscape shaped by the COVID-19 pandemic and examine the opportunities and challenges across real estate sectors around the Asia Pacific region.
     
    THE SOFTWARE
     
    Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues are now front and centre issues for real estate investors. How are ESG themes and strategies being incorporated in investors’ business plans and what is needed versus what is a “nice-to-have”? And how will Proptech be instrumental in incorporating ESG into real estate?
