Wrestling with Moses by Anthony FlintThe Building Healthy Places team is launching the BHP Book Club to spark thought and conversation around  health, wellness, and real estate. Our first title is Wrestling with Moses: How Jane Jacobs Took on New York’s Master Builder and Transformed the American City by Anthony Flint.

Our first title is Wrestling with Moses: How Jane Jacobs Took on New York’s Master Builder and Transformed the American City by Anthony Flint. The Book Club will launch on May 14 with a live kick-off via Zoom featuring composer Judd Greenstein and director/animator Joshua Frankel—the creative team behind A Marvelous Ordera forthcoming multimedia opera about the battle between Robert Moses and Jane Jacobs. We will also host a live talk with the author on June 25.

Registering once provides access to both sessions and is free to members. Late registration may be available after May 14th.

Discuss the book online with fellow participants via Slack. The platform will open following the Book Club Kick-Off on May 14.

Please note that the book club will be held as a Zoom meeting. Unlike a webinar, this will not be a formal presentation, and your active participation is encouraged. You will receive a link to both meetings after registering above. Invitations to join our Slack discussion group will be distributed following the May 14th Kick-Off event.
