David Tepper, AIA, a Principal at Ennead Architects with 25 years of experience, leads the firm’s healthcare practice. Among his major project work, David led the planning and design of NYU Langone Health’s Campus Transformation imitative, including the development of 1.2 million square feet of new clinical, education, and research space. He works with hospital leadership of major healthcare systems to align strategic objectives, programmatic needs, and real estate assets. His work helps institutions define priorities and build consensus, especially on complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
David works on strategic planning, campus and infrastructure master plans, new buildings, adaptive re-use, and major renovations. He has worked widely on sites requiring extensive cooperation and negotiation with external stakeholders and regulatory agencies. He has a special expertise in resilience for shoreline structures and essential facilities and has worked with healthcare clients to plan for continued climate change, retrofit existing buildings and infrastructure, and establish standards for mission-critical facilities.
He received a Master of Architecture degree from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Society of Campus and University Planning.
