Dara Kovel joined the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority in January 2010. Dara’s responsibilities include oversight of all CHFA multifamily housing development and asset management programs.
In support of CHFA’s mission to alleviate the shortage of affordable housing for low- and moderate-income residents in Connecticut, Dara oversees and coordinates all of CHFA’s multifamily housing operations to maximize quality affordable housing creation and preservation throughout the State. Dara has over 20 years of experience in real estate policy, development, operations and finance in the public, for-profit and non-profit sectors.
In addition, Dara serves on the National Advisory Board for the Urban Land Institute’s Terwilliger Center for Housing and on the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston’s Advisory Council. Dara is a graduate of Yale University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a MBA from the Yale School of Management
