Public/Private Partnerships in Action Forum- Spring Meeting Schedule
May 12th- 12:30pm-3:00pm ET
“Community Renewal through Partnerships”
Our communities are experiencing severe social unrest and it has become clear that our systems have failed large segments of our communities. To overcome these challenges, the public, private, and not-for-profit realms need to work together to achieve community renewal and the conventional model of Public-Private Partnerships needs to be refocused from a transaction-oriented effort, especially after the limitations exposed in 2020, to a capacity building collaborative model. This session explores capacity building and sector partnerships required along the entire spectrum of community needs where investment catalyzes greater social equity and economic justice.
The session will include an equal allocation of time for presentations and breakout room discussions that encourage participants to share their perspectives and experience.

The PPP in Action Forum focuses on the application of PPP tools to the urban challenges of redevelopment, TOD, airports, facility PPP, affordable housing, conversion of obsolete industrial/commercial sites, placemaking, resiliency, transit, and transportation value capture financing.
The forum will feature thought leaders and practitioners drawn from ULI Product Councils and the development field more broadly to share their experiences addressing these challenges. Invitees/attendees will include public officials and regional/local planning practitioners as well as private sector developers from the city in which the Forum is held, enriching the interchange between public and private sectors and enhancing mutual understanding and capacity for joint action.
