Commercial and Retail Development Council (CRC)
Mission
The mission of the Commercial & Retail Development (CRC) Councils is to explore and debate best practices, lessons learned and current trends in the development and ownership of commercial retail properties in the United States. Property types include regional malls, grocery anchored shopping centers, big-box retail, outlet or lifestyle centers and urban, street retail projects. Mixed-use projects which include retail as a substantial component will also be considered as well as entertainment/tourism retail properties.
The CRC covers the development, rehab, re-use, and/or acquisition of retail properties as well as the financing, leasing, management and disposition of such assets. Capital markets and pricing within the debt and equity sectors (both public and private) is also examined. . The retailer demand perspective, demographic influences and consumer trends along with the dynamics of e-commerce is also a consistent focus of the council. The CRC membership reflects a wide range of expertise and market representation in order to broadly and specifically discuss, examine, debate and become educated by best practices in commercial retail ownership and development.
