The Associate works closely with the Senior Director to maintain administrative, financial, and office operations of the district council, including membership, sponsorship, programs, communications, and community outreach.

District councils support best practices in land use through education programs, mentoring, networking events, project tours, policy work, and advisory services. By offering nonpartisan, unbiased expertise to community leaders, district councils positively influence such issues as compact development, transportation, urban design, and workforce housing. The ULI Michigan district council has over 300 members throughout the state of Michigan and offers a variety of annual programs and events to both members and prospective members.
