The fourth in the series of Building Healthy Places Interest Forums will be held in conjunction with ULI’s Fall Meeting in Dallas. This forum brings together leaders in health, wellness, and real estate to discuss what they are doing, planning, and observing in the field. This will be a content-heavy, interactive discussion and exchange.
When: Monday, October 24, 10:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Where: Omniplan, Inc.
Cost: A registration fee is required to attend the Forum.
Early registration: $125 (ends 9/15)
Regular registration: $175 (ends 10/15)
Late registration: $200 (after 10/15)
- Build on the previous Building Healthy Places Interest Forums and provide a place for ULI members who are passionate about health and development to engage with each other.
- Offer a chance for ULI members to share knowledge and insights about real projects.
- Update forum participants in the latest work that is being done at ULI and other organizations on health and real estate.
- For members on national Product Councils, provide a gathering that is focused on health and real estate and provide information that can be shared with their Councils.

Participation in the Forum is limited to ULI members (Associate and Full) and will be capped at about 40 people. Forum participants are encouraged but not required to attend ULI’s Fall Meeting; register at fall.uli.org.

Klyde Warren Park is the 2014 winner of the ULI Urban Open Space Award. The 5.2-acre park built over the Woodall Rodgers Freeway features a children’s park, reading room, great lawn, restaurant, performance pavilion, fountain plaza, games area, dog park, and botanical garden in a pedestrian-oriented setting. Learn about how the park was planned and funded.

1:00–2:15 p.m. Small Group Activity: Applying Healthy Places Tools to Reinvent Place and Community
Following a brief introduction, participants will break up into small groups to reinvent a site located in the city of South San Francisco in ways that enhance health and economic performance. Forum participants will use data about the site and surrounding community to inform their plan and approaches.
