Bill is a nationally-recognized, award-winning registered healthcare architect (board-certified by the American College of Healthcare Architects — ACHA) and thought leader on design and its positive impact on healthcare delivery, patient experience, and operations. He has over 35 years of professional experience and is the director of healthcare design for Design Collaborative – a national, award-winning Top 100-ranked A/MEP/ID firm based in Fort Wayne, IN. His main passion and expertise is working collaboratively with healthcare leaders and end-users to lead and guide early project definition, programming, medical space planning, and code compliance. He has managed, planned, and designed hundreds of healthcare facility projects for multiple hospitals and healthcare systems, including Community Howard Regional Health, Bon Secours Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center, MetroHealth, Parkview Health, Rush Memorial Hospital, and Van Wert Health. Bill is an Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification (EDAC) and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) practitioner, and he regularly participates in national healthcare design forums and conferences and is a sought-after subject matter expert and speaker.
